Major Site Update

Hey there, it’s Zackie, the admin and writer for this website that you might know as “Hell Yeah! Electronika”. Unfortunately (or luckily?) I had to change the name to a more appropriate and catchy name. So, from now on, this site will be known as “LA PAVLOVA”.

And no, it won’t be a blog for a bakery shop, even though it could be in the future. Haha! I recently graduated from university and now awaiting for my application to degree in artistic writing. I am getting serious with this blogging business because I need something good in my resume. So I hope all of you could be my loyal readers and help me achieve my dreams of becoming a successful and well-known writer.

This site will still deliver the same facts and news on films, TV shows, music, books, celebrities and such. The only difference is the name and the whole brand new layout. I hope it won’t be such a nuisance to you, for me to keep on changing everything.

Until next time, readers! Rolling on the floor laughing

FILM NEWS: “Catching Fire” Casting For Finnick

Okay, you guys have probably already know that I love The Hunger Games. Love it, love it, love it! I also wish I could maybe live it. No kidding! I wish I can enter the arena, just so I can kill some people. Haha.

So, Gary Ross WON’T direct the sequel, Catching Fire. Lionsgate have confirmed that Francis Lawrence will take over as the director. Many fans aren’t happy, but come on, let’s just be glad that they’re making the sequels, m’kay?

Another thing that fans are DYING to know is WHO’S GONNA PLAY FINNICK ODAIR? E! News reported that the studio exec have narrowed down to 3 top contenders: Garrett Hedlund, Armie Hammer and Taylor Kitsch.

Garrett Hedlund starred in Tron: Legacy last year, Armie Hammer was “The Prince” in Tarsem Singh’s Mirror Mirror and Taylor Kitsch recently starred in Battleship.

Finnick Odair is a male character who first appeared in Suzanne Collin’s novel, Catching Fire, sequel to The Hunger Games. He is a male victor from District 4 (the ‘Fishing’ district), who won the previous Hunger Games, TWICE. He becomes friends with Katniss and Peeta and saves their lives a lot of times. He is described to be EXTREMELY handsome, tall, muscular, athletic, tan-skinned, bronze-coloured hair and has two sea green-coloured eyes.

Personally, I absolutely LOVE all three of them. However, I don’t want Taylor Kitsch because I just couldn’t imagine him as Finnick. But between Garrett Hedlund and Armie Hammer, I just couldn’t choose and I will be super ecstatic if any one of them would play Finnick. But I’m rooting for Garrett more, though. Since he is the absolute top fan-favourite, and I can already imagine him as Finnick, so…

Recently, Robert Pattinson admitted that he is NOT approached by Lionsgate for the role of Finnick, which I thank all layers of Heaven for that! I just cannot stand Robert Pattinson. So, hearing him not getting the part just makes my day a LOT better.

Unfortunately, the casting for Catching Fire is still “early” because they say it is still in its ‘premature’ state. So, Hunger Games fans, we all gotta wait a little bit longer. Filming will start this fall and Catching Fire is set to be released next year, November 22nd.

FILM REVIEW: The Avengers

Directed by: Joss Whedon
Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson.

Synopsis: A team of superheroes consists of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye work together, with S.H.I.E.L.D, an agency to protect the world from Loki, Thor’s adoptive brother and supervillain, trying to take over the world.

After waiting ages for this movie, I can honestly say that all my time waiting and money spent on this movie are all WORTH it! Even though I kinda missed the first 15 minutes of the beginning because of reasons not worth telling here Thinking smile but still, I think this movie is epic indeed! And what I love the most about it is that the writing is so good and it is unbelievably funny! I never thought I’d laugh so much watching a superhero movie, but The Avengers has some serious hilarious scenes.

Well, everyone has their own favourite Avengers. Me? Well, I loved Loki all along. Mostly because he’s played by the ever-charming Tom Hiddleston. And plus, I don’t think he is that evil anyway. He’s just involved in a bad case of sibling rivalry and just wanna be bigger than his brother. It’s okay, I still love him anyway. Smile with tongue out

My rating: Red heartRed heartRed heartRed heart (One point deducted because 2 hours and a half is not enough. Ahaha!)

FILM REVIEW: The Hunger Games

Director: Gary Ross.
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz.
Synopsis: The Hunger Games is a story about a girl named Katniss Everdeen who entered a cruel competition called “The Hunger Games”, where 24 kids have to fight each other to the death until one survivor remains. Sounds kinda gory, no?

The Hunger Games is super awesomely epiiicccccc!!! TWO HOURS AND A HALF worth of time and money! Seriously, this film is two and a half hours length. I went to watch it with my sister and brother in law, at TGV Wangsa Walk, at 11:20pm. Sure, they both were quite tired, but at least I’m happy that I finally watched THG.

My favourite scene would have to be that part in the cave (*wink wink*), District 11’s rebellion, the Tributes interviews where Katniss show off her dress and Peeta admit that he has a crush on Katniss since like forever, the showdown between Katniss and Clove, that part where Katniss yell at Peeta for picking up the Nightlock berries, oh my god, the list could be endless, I tell ‘ya! Everything is The Hunger Games and nothing hurt…

However, I am kinda sad that they left out a few minor (but important) details, such as the origin of the Mockingjay pin, Peeta’s famous (and my favourite!) “You here to finish me off, sweetheart?” line and Madge Undersee. Whoever read the books would know what I’m talking about.

Alas, I’m not complaining about it because I highly believe THIS is how you make a film adaptation! Seriously, it was sooooo good and kinda exactly like how I imagined when I read the books. The cast are perfect, flawless and gorgeous. I cannot wait to watch it again =D

My Rating: (One point deducted because they didn’t put my favourite line in it)

Until next time!
